Ashley and Kathy in Seychelles

Kathy B. & Ashley recently returned from the incredible Seychelles. The Seychelles are an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean off East Africa, known for its beaches, coral reefs, diving, nature reserves and rare wildlife such as giant Aldabra tortoises. The only had 2 days on island, but this whirlwind trip gave them a taste of the fabulous Raffles Praslin Seychelles resort. Both advisors were astounded by the beauty and tranquility of the island, and both are dying to go back!

Kathy and Ashley connected in Abu Dhabi before heading on to the island nation of The Seychelles. The airport was a very cute open air facility. They landed in Mahe, a small compact town with lively open air markets and a Hindu Temple. There theyspent time walking around and exploring. From there a ferry ride took them to the next island, Praslin, which was about 1 hour away.

The Raffles Praslin resort where they stayed has villas and suites scattered up the hill overlooking a bay. Each villa features an outdoor pavilion with sundeck beds, dining table, an open air balcony and private plunge pool, and complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the villa and resort. Golf carts are available to escort you around the property.
They enjoyed the resort’s restaurants, spas and private beach, which had excellent snorkeling!  The beaches offer privacy with beautiful blue-green water, white sand, boulders and palm trees.

They traveled to the small island of La Digue for a day tour. It was about 20 minutes from the resort and offered beautiful beaches as well as vanilla groves and orchards. The island has an incredible tortoise sanctuary where they could get very close to the huge tortoises! There were many cute places to shop and nice local lunch spots along the beach as well.

Both Kathy & Ashley wish they had more time to explore the area! It was so beautiful with so much to do! For more information contact Kathy, Ashley or your Sanders Travel advisor and book your incredible escape today!
